Position Summary

Reporting to the Regional Director—Education and Training, the Coordinator, Specialty Education is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating and ongoing development of the operational details for the centralized management of specialty education within Northern Health. Priorities include: managing the process a centrally managed specialty education system; identifying ways to increase student placement capacity for specialty areas within NH; creating an evaluation plan; and providing support to students and managers. The Coordinator interfaces with key internal and external health care leaders, as required.
 
Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in a health or business discipline;
- Three (3) to five (5) years recent related experience in a similar position, or one which reflects discrete aspects of the role, e.g. clinical placement;
- Proven experience in tactical planning, people management, and change management;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the post-secondary system an asset.
