Position Summary

Provides leadership in all aspects of the operation of the Level 1, 2 and 3 rural communities in the Northern Interior Health Service Delivery Area to ensure that quality patient/client/resident care is provided and that the strategic goals and objectives of the Northern Health Business Plan are achieved. Ensures the integration of teams to effectively and efficiently deliver services designed to meet local needs within Northern Health’s policies and priorities. Leads the planning, communication, change and innovation initiatives. Provides clinical lead support to assigned regional acute care initiatives.
 
Qualifications

- A Masters Degree in a Health Administration or a related discipline, plus fifteen (15) years of experience in progressively senior health care administration roles including substantive clinical operational experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Knowledge of the operations of acute care hospitals and health centers, including an understanding of the interrelationships between the various professional/non-professional staff within the facilities.
- Knowledge of community and long-term care operations, including an understanding of the interrelationships between the various professional/non-professional staff within the facilities.
