Position Summary

The Assistant, Medical Staff Retention & Recruitment is responsible for the overall provision, organization and evaluation of confidential administrative and technical support functions within the Northeast (NE) Medical Staff Retention & Recruitment team. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting the efficient and effective functioning of physician, nurse practitioner and midwife recruitment activities to support the implementation of medical staff recruitment and retention strategies. The Assistant works closely with the NE Medical Director, NE Medical Staff Recruiter and the Coordinator, Northeast Medical Affairs.
 
Qualifications

- Grade 12, completion of a diploma or certificate in Business Administration, or a relevant discipline;
- Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in recruitment and/or marketing;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

- Ability to provide client focused services.
- Strong ability to maintain professional relationships.
- Proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.

- Ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
- Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities.
- Ability to exhibit tact, discretion and confidentiality when dealing with medical staff.
