Position Summary

Under the direction of the Residential & Recovery Team Leader or designate, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the LPN uses a PSR approach in contributing to the assessment, development, and implementation of care plans and evaluation of client centered care for adults with Mental Health and Substance Use issues and other co-occurring disorders within Davis Drive. The LPN is knowledgeable of and practices in accordance with the standards of practice as outlined by the BC College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) and established organizational policies and procedures. The LPN is expected to engage the individual and family as people with full competence and as full collaborators in service planning, delivery, and evaluation.
 
Qualifications

- Registration with BC College of Nursing Professionals as a practicing LPN registrant.
- Two (2) years of recent, related experience in the mental health field; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of Principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medication and adverse effects.
- Class V BC Driver’s License.
- Certificates in CPR and First Aid.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
- Ability to work with individuals with mental health and substance use issues.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment including proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
