REGIONAL DIRECTOR, VIRTUAL HEALTH

Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Health, and CIO, the Regional Director provides leadership in transforming our health system through the integration and optimization of virtual service technology. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, and leadership of virtual health services, ensuring seamless integration into our overall health service delivery system. The Regional Director works closely with clinical leadership to build knowledge of successful Virtual Care practices and to identify and consolidate strategic requirements for Virtual Care adoption across the health authority. This includes partnering with various Northern Health service networks and departments to ensure alignment of goals, support structure, innovations, and planning and evaluation frameworks. The Regional Director will inform the evolution of care delivery models and data management practices to align with new virtual care solutions and the integration of technical solutions into the health care delivery system. In addition, the Regional Director plays a strategic role in projects relating to the delivery of regional, provincial, and nationally scoped virtual transformational solutions. The Regional Director is responsible for both project and operational activities required to ensure the development and ongoing support of virtual care strategic and tactical plans, including leading all activities to plan, organize, and control the design, build, testing, sourcing/selection, implementation, administration, maintenance, support and evaluation of both core and new applications, processes and related solutions.

The salary range for this position is $143,969 (min) to $179,962 (midpoint) to $206,956 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Northern Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

Qualifications

• A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in a relevant healthcare, information Management or business discipline plus 10 (10) years of progressive senior management experience, preferably in health care or another complex human services industry. ITIL, project and change management training and experience an asset.

Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to write and edit high quality business documents (such as business cases, master project plans, risk management plans, communication plans, progress reports, and project wrap-up documentation) and to facilitate large and diverse groups and negotiate to consensus.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic, team-based environment. Demonstrated ability to adapt readily to rapid and changing environment and respond with initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and manage relationships with strategic partners and solution providers. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with various levels of personnel, both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to lead change and to build and support management teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent health care policies, standards, codes, bylaws and regulations. Demonstrated commitment to innovation and creative spirit.
• Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development.
