SENIOR TECHNICAL ANALYST

Position Summary

Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Analyst to join our Information & Technology Services department.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position is responsible for implementation and support of complex core infrastructure technology systems, which impact across many functional areas. Examples include, but are not limited to, network, telecommunications, servers, security, authentication, messaging, thin technology, and storage systems. This position will also be responsible for providing Tier 2 technical support for issues that arise from within ITS and the user community.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or diploma/certificate in related discipline
• Three (3) years recent experience relating to Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to deal with others, including members of the public, in a professional and courteous manner.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to operate and understand complex equipment
• Ability to handle high stress situations over the telephone and/or in person
• Good creative thinking and conceptualizing abilities
• Thorough knowledge of complex technical issues and common efficient practices in the information technology industry.
• Ability to learn and grasp the business of ITS as a service provider.
