REGISTERED NURSE (RN), LONG-TERM CARE

Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Rainbow Lodge.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position contributes to the delivery of quality resident care, professional nursing practice and the enhancement of geriatric services in a Long-Term Care setting through nursing practice assessment and development, clinical consultation, quality improvement, care coordination, staff health and other leadership activities. The Clinical Practice Lead will work as part of multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively with others to positively impact nursing care in Long Term Care nursing practice.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 06:45 to 14:45

A first in Canada: minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPRs) are starting in B.C.! Northern Health, alongside B.C.'s other health authorities, is implementing mNPRs as a transformative staffing initiative that aims to improve the working environment of nurses in order to provide better quality care to our patients.

Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Five (5) years recent experience in gerontology and demonstrated competencies in leadership or the equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Physical and mental ability to carry out the duties of the position.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently
