Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Recruitment Assistant to support the Recruitment department.
Provides confidential administrative support for corporate recruitment services including coordinating internal postings and external advertising, screening and processing applications, maintaining recruitment files, preparing correspondence related to the recruitment process, tracking information, preparing reports on department activities and providing secretarial and clerical support as required. Organizes and participates in recruitment events sponsored by Northern Health and maintains up-to-date vacancy information on the corporate web site.
Starting salary will be approximately from $58,494 to $73,117 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualifications
• Grade 12, plus additional courses in office administration and/or Human Resources plus three (3) to five (5) years of recent related experience in a large, complex unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
• A very good level of technical skill in word processing, presentation graphics, electronic spreadsheets and database applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively and in a professional manner.
• Ability to type at 50 wpm.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
