Position Summary

Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed permanent full time Administrative Assistant to support the Pharmacy Services department.

Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Operations, the Administrative Assistant, Pharmacy Leadership provides confidential administrative assistance and project support to the Northern Health Pharmacy Leadership team, Northern Health Residency Program, Medication Safety & Quality team and other programs/services throughout the Pharmacy department as assigned. The Assistant provides back up administrative support to the Director Pharmacy Operations and the Regional Director, Pharmacy Services in the absence of the Administrative Assistant, Pharmacy Operations and Coordinator, Pharmacy Administrative Operations.

Responsible for the provision of administrative support, including agenda preparation and minute taking, for committees and working groups throughout assigned programs and services. Provides variety of administrative and secretarial duties including screening and prioritizing incoming requests, typing and formatting of technical & non-technical material utilizing and manipulating various word processing, graphics, database, and spreadsheet software packages, drafting correspondence from verbal instruction and/or handwritten draft, and compiling statistical reports.

Starting salary will be approximately from $48,476 to $60,594 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

• Grade 12 plus three (3) years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Strong proficiency and knowledge in Outlook (email and calendar), Word, Excel, Powerpoint and web-based applications (Internet). Knowledge of Sharepoint and Microsoft Project as asset.
