In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the general supervision of a senior position such as a Recreation Therapist, Program Coordinator, Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist, the Activity Worker is a member of the multidisciplinary team within a client and family centered model of care, and is responsible for carrying out an established activity/recreation/leisure program as directed.

New Wage: As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $29.83/hour

Dunrovin Park Lodge is a complex care facility with 117 beds. The facility consists of complex care, hospice, respite and special care unit. Maple House is a secured unit with 20 beds and one respite bed specifically for residents requiring more supervision. Hospice Care Unit has three Hospice Palliative care beds and three respite beds. There is a Volunteer Program in place to accompany Residents on social outings, appointments, and provide hospice support. Hairdressing and barber services are available on site for a fee determined by the service provider. Dunrovin also provides an on-site integrated community adult day program, operating 4 days a week.

Quesnel has a population of 10,000 (2021) local residents and is one of the central interior's oldest cities and home to the world’s largest gold pan. Nestled on the banks of the Fraser and Quesnel rivers, Quesnel is the commercial centre of the North Cariboo. Qualifications

• Grade 12, plus completion of recognized recreation course(s)
• Two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid class 4 vehicle license.

• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
