Position Summary

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization and under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Worker V performs trades duties approaching the journeyman level in one or a variety of trades such as, plumbing, carpentry or painting in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

The Maintenance Worker V also performs mechanical maintenance, repairs and replacement duties related to the buildings and equipment approaching various journeyman trades qualifications. The Maintenance Worker V supervises Maintenance Workers and other designated staff.
 
Qualifications

- Grade 10 plus four years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Must have valid Class 5 B.C. drivers license.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to organize work and prioritize work assignments.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
