Position Summary

This position reports to the NE Manager Facilities Maintenance, performs maintenance and repair duties related to buildings, grounds and equipment, and is in charge of the maintenance function and carrying out related administrative duties. Supervises maintenance workers, contractors and/or other designated staff.

Positions at this level may also operate and maintain a fluid heating plant that has a heating surface of 150 m2 of boiler capacity but does not exceed 300 m2 of boiler capacity. Operates, repairs and carries out preventative maintenance on the boilers and air conditioning units, monitors and tests emergency power and other related equipment of the facility.
 
Qualifications

- Certificate of competency as a 5th Class Power Engineer with Boiler endorsement recognized by the Province of B.C.
- Two (2) years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
