Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, Staffing Services, the Coordinator, Training and
Development is responsible for the development and delivery of Employee Scheduling Software (ESP)
and mySchedule applications training to staff across Northern Health. The Coordinator also plays a lead
role in the development of a comprehensive training plan for staffing services, maintaining strong
relationships with the HR Operations team for collective agreement interpretations and strategic priorities.
The Coordinator develops materials for all levels of training from basic to advanced and plays an integral
role in the assessment of knowledge levels of staff in all scheduling offices. The Coordinator delivers
ESP and mySchedule specific training required for both managers and staff across Northern Health and
utilizes a Train the Trainer approach when appropriate.

The Coordinator ensures the delivered training is current and up to date with changes to collective
agreements, policies, procedures, updates or enhancements to the ESP application, researching and
incorporating best practices where appropriate.
 
Qualifications

- Completion of a diploma program in a relevant field plus three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in staff
scheduling, including experience with ESP and automated staffing/scheduling systems, preferably in
a large unionized environment;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

- Ability to analyze and interpret evaluation results of training.
- Ability to prepare written reports.

- Ability to organize work and prioritize multiple competing activities concurrently.
- Ability to operate related equipment including relevant computer software
