Position Summary

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Regional Diet Office Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of the NH Regional Diet Office which serves the needs of patients, residents and staff in various food operations in Northern Health. The Regional Diet Office Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the CBORD system including entering and checking accuracy of menus, diet plans and patient nutrition information, and providing assistance to users in planning, testing and using the Emergency Backup Plan, and troubleshooting basic system problems. The position also assists in the development and delivery of training programs for end users

The Regional Diet Office Technician functionally reports to the Regional Manager, Nutrition and Food Information Systems, and maintains an operational reporting relationship to the Project Lead, Nutrition and Food Information Systems during the project implementation phase.
 
Qualifications

- Graduation from a recognized two year program in Food Service Supervision, plus one year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid Class 5 vehicle license if applicable.
